BeWhere Installer App
Installer App covers 3 different scenarios:
- New Install Assignment for the first time
- Replacing a defective device with a new device
- Uninstalling a device from the Equipment ID
How to use Installer app
Login to BeWhere Portal https://portal.bewhere.com. To do that you need an installer account that has access to the portal.
Login
Search for Device
Once logged in enter the Device ID or Scan the Device QR Code. Press Next.
Update Device Name
If device is found, it will be displayed on the Equipment Screen, DeviceID and Serial Number.
- If this is a deactivation just press Uninstall Device and go back or log out.
- If this is a new install, just change the name of the Device as it's shown in the picture below "Equipment ID". Use the Clear button to clear existing name before entering the new one. Press Next.
- If the new device replaces and existing defective device, Press Uninstall Device first. Once confirmed continue with the name change.
Save the change

To ensure name changes for BeWhere devices configured as 3rd-Party Geotab devices are reflected in Geotab, check the 'Update Third Party Name' box on the Beacons 'Device Info' page. See below:
